  • This is probably the most popular russet apple grown in the UK. It's dry russeted skin is not to everyone's taste. The fruit has a pleasant rich nutty flavour, the flesh can be dry and can go floury as it ages. A trouble free apple to grow; though early into flower it's blosson seems to be resistant to frost, hence explaining it's popularity for growing in the North
